The General Nursing and Midwifery
(GNM) programme is designed to prepare students for a professional career in nursing and healthcare. The course provides students with a strong foundation in nursing theory, clinical practice, patient care, community health, and midwifery.
Throughout the programme, students develop essential skills in patient assessment, nursing care, medication administration, infection prevention, emergency care, maternal and child health, community nursing, and health education.

Eligibility
Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed 10+2 (12th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Stream: Candidates from Science, Commerce, or Arts may be eligible, subject to the applicable admission rules.
English: Candidates should have studied English at the 10+2 level.
Minimum Marks: As per the rules of the concerned State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council / University or competent authority.
Age: Generally, the minimum age is 17 years at the time of admission. The upper age limit, if any, is as per the applicable regulations.
Medical Fitness: Candidate should be medically fit for nursing education and clinical training.
Course Duration: GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) is generally a 3-year programme, with the applicable clinical/internship requirements as prescribed by the competent authority.
